Iphone Apps for Worship

I realize that not every worship leader has an iphone but I do and thought I would share a couple of the apps. that are useful to me.  The first is the iphone app for Planning Center Online.  I love these guys.  They are continually improving their product.  The iphone app is a fantastic companion to the full platform.  If you are a worship leader and are not familiar with Planning Center, you need to go to www.planningcenteronline.com and check it out.

The second app that I thought I would give props to is the Guitar Toolkit.  This is an AMAZING app.  If you are a guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin or a ukulele player, you need this app.  The Guitar Toolkit has saved  my hide a few times when I need to tune a badly out of tune guitar and all I had with me was my phone.  Pretty cool to tune your guitar in those setting with your phone.  Not only can you tune all the instruments mentioned about, but it offers alternate tunings as well.  This app also has a built in metronome and a massive chord library.  It also has a fret board section that allows the ability to see and hear almost any scale in any key. All you have to do is set the key and choose the scale and use the positions to learn the scales. This is great as a reference or instructional tool.  This app is a must have!

The last app that I thought I would give a shout to is the Song Suggest app.  I am fairly new to this app, but it is pretty cool.  Basically it is a huge database of worship songs that you can do thematic, key and tempo searches in.  So say you are looking for a communion song in the key of A in a slow tempo, you simply put those parameters in and hit the song ideas bottom and a list of songs with those criteria pop up. It also gives the ability to watch/listen to the songs through YouTube and/or Itunes.  You can find out more information about this app at worshipapps

I would love to hear if there are some apps that you know of that are really beneficial to leading worship.

Thanks for the cudos for Planning Center! We really appreciate it. And you’re right, we are constantly trying to improve on PCO. We value our customer’s suggestions and try to incorporate them when we can.
