Well, it is that time of the week again, to upload the worship set for this coming weekend. So, here you go. I trust that this is helpful to you and your personal worship throughout the week. The songs for this weekend are as follows…
King - Tree63 (The Answer to the Question) Our God Saves - Paul Baloche (Our God Saves) Hosanna - Hillsong United (All of the Above) This is our God - Hillsong (This is Our God) You Are Faithful - Hillsong (Saviour King)
It seems like having a list of the songs we do at CF and links to where one could purchase the songs is a popular thing. So, here is the list for this coming weekend. Greg Reade our high school worship pastor will be leading with his team. It will be awesome. I hope you enjoy the downloads.
Awesome is the Lord Most High(Chris Tomlin / See the Morning)
Everlasting God(Lincoln Brewster / Let the Praises Ring)
Here is the worship set for the weekend of October 18/19 at the Gardens campus. I have posted links to Amazon if you would like to download any of the songs for your personal library. Be blessed!
You, You Are God - Gateway Worship Our God Saves - Paul Baloche Hosanna - Hillsong United Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone) - Chris Tomlin Revelation Song - Gateway Worship
God is so good! This has been an amazing day. My view of the church and God’s calling for my life has been both confirmed and challenged at the same time. The morning began with a powerful message by Joseph
Phil Dooley, Christy Cain, (Campus Pastor from Hillsong London) Bobbie Houston
Prince. He spoke out of Revelations and the 4 faces of Jesus as the Lion, Ox, Eagle and Man. It was powerful. The second session was a stream session with the theme of Compassion. Joel Houston was the first speaker and transparently shared what God has shown he and the rest of United about reaching the third world. After that Gary Clarke of Hillsong London shared on a similar topic.
We had lunch in the speakers lounge today and were blessed to spend time with Brian and Bobbie Houston. It was so great seeing my wife be able to sit with this great leader and be inspired by a faithful lady in ministry like Bobbie. I also got to meet some great pastors from around the world. I would have taken some pictures but that would have been a bit tacky!
After lunch there was a panel discussion on generational dynamics within the
church. This was really, really good. Hillsong has done a great job of empowering and handing off ministry to the next generation. This is an area that I am keenly attuned too. I feel this is what God has put in me to help Christ Fellowship do a better job of.
Donna Crouch spoke next. Her message was on being a church without walls. I really wish I could post the
Donna Crouch
audio to all of the messages. Every single one seemed like it was a home run! Donna’s message gave me new insight and a deeper sense of passion to be the church without walls. Finally, Casey Treat of Christian Faith Center in Seatle spoke. His message was on Jesus
Joel Leading worship
asking the blind man “What do you want”? It was a great message about going after that which God has put in your heart.
One of the highlights of the day was getting a hang for a bit with my friend Andreas Nielsen from Sweden. Dre is the pastor of Passion Church in Stockholm. God is doing amazing things through him and it is such a pleasure to spend time with him whenever I can.
So that is it for day four. Time to get some rest for another big day tomorrow. Cheerio!
BTW: Did I tell you that I have become a bit of a tea drinker. I feel like a British chap:)
Well today was another great day in London. We spent the entire day at the conference. Man, was it powerful. The worship has been really great and the communicators have been fantastic. The day started with an inspiring message from Brian Houston about a heart for the church. It was a call to love the church and honor the church. It was awesome! Then the afternoon stream session was led by Donna Crouch (fantastic) and Bobbie Houston (very good, but too many rabbit trails).
(L to R) Brian Houston, Peter Wilson, Phil Dooley, Joel Houston
After lunch there was an interactive panel discussion with Brian Houston, Joel Houston, Reuben Morgan, Peter Wilson (worship leader from Hillsong London), Phil Dooley (Pastor of Hillsong South Africa) and Gary Clarke (Pastor of Hillsong London about trust between the senior pastor and the creative/worship pastor. This was very good and also interesting to hear a bit of the relationship between Brian and his son Joel.
Shawn and I after dinner
One of the treats of the day for Lisa and I was to have dinner with Shawn Shiraz. Shawn is part of our worship team from the Gardens campus who is doing a study abroad here in London. It was so great to catch up with him and hear what God is doing in his life. Those of you who know Shawn, know he always has a lot to say and we heard awesome stories of his travels throughout Europe.
Reuben Morgan and Peter Wilson leading worship
Finally, the evening session tonight had worship led by Reuben Morgan and Mary/Mary (”Shackles off my feet so I can dance”). The speaker tonight was a guy by the name of Joseph Prince who is the pastor of New Creation Church in Singapore. It is a church that has grown from 150 to 17,000 under his leadership. Let me say that I guess there are a lot of different opinions about Pastor Prince, both good
Mary Mary
and bad, but he brought the word tonight with depth and clarity. It was the bomb, or as my friend Torrence Jackson would say it was “Hot Garbage!”.
So that was the day. Maybe not as action packed as the previous two, but for Lisa and I both, it was like a refreshing rain. So, that’s it from London. Check in tomorrow for another recap. Cheerio!
Well it is 11:32 PM UK time. It was a great day. The weather was absolutely perfect (60° with a light breeze). We got up this morning and took the tube to Waterloo and there boarded a train for Hampton. When we arrived in Hampton, we spent much of the day touring the Hampton Court. It is a huge castle where King William (I can’t remember the number) and Henry VIII vacationed. It was pretty cool. I am realizing more and more how much I enjoy history. England has a lot of it.
After touring Hampton Court, we ate lunch at a little restaurant called the Bluebeckton. It was pretty good. We then made our way back to the ExCel and picked up our tickets for the conference.
We arrived at the conference and were escorted backstage to the guest lounge for a hot cup of tea and/or coffee. We met a few folks who were with Hillsong churches from around the world and then made our way to our seats which were on the second row.
The night started with an amazing video piece that weaved into a female soloist singing “One” by U2. She was then joined by a host of about 30 people playing all kinds of unique instruments like the accordion, stand up bass, xylophone, mandolin, tuba, trumpet, bass drum, etc. From there it went back to a video and then Israel Houghton came out and sang an old Keith Green tune. Then the musical worship began led by the team from Hillsong London. It was really great.
After the corporate worship time, Israel and New Breed did a mini concert and then Brian Houston of Hillsong Sidney gave the keynote address. His message was on not losing heart. It was a great word and very timely. The night as a whole was very amazing.
So today was a great day. I learned some new English terms like “Que”, “Mind”, and “Note”. I also learned that I love “Pasties”! I have posted some pictures from the day. So until tomorrow, Cheerio!
You can't do this too many places in the USA!

So, it is currently 8:47 PM in London. Lisa and I just go back to our hotel and we are exhausted. Wow, what a day. We had a great time. We arrived in London right around 8:10 AM (3:10 AM EST). We probably slept about 4 hours on the flight here. So, when we arrived we were already a bit tired.
Our transportation from the airport fell through, so we improvised and hired a car to take a clear across London from Heathrow to the Docklands. It took us about an hour through the traffic. The drive was very cool. We passed Big Ben, the House of Parliament, The Eye of London (Big Farris Wheel), The London Bridge and the Tower of London.
We arrive at our hotel, checked in and then headed back out to check out the sights. We took the tube back to the Tower of London and took an amazing historical tour. It was extremely cool hearing the history of the royalty of England and some of the sorted details that I did not know. One of the cool things for me about the tour was hearing about Queen Ann Boleyn. She is somewhere way up the family tree from me, but a relative still.
This evening we spent a great deal of time walking around the Piccadilly Circus area. We ate dinner at a local, hole in the wall, Indian restaurant. I can already tell that dinner is probably going to have it’s revenge on me. All in all it was a terrific day. Lisa and I had a great time being together and hanging out with our good friends Todd and Julie Mullins. I have attached some photos of the day. Until tomorrow, enjoy!
Well we arrived in London at 8:10 UK time…that would be 3:10 AM West Palm time. We took a very “exhilarating” taxi ride to our hotel and just got in the door at 11:45. The weather is amazing. It feels like football weather in Ohio. We are having a fantastic time. The flight was really cool. I will post again later with some pictures from the day. Cheerio!
I am so blessed to have a team of incredible worship leaders that I work with at Christ Fellowship. Being a multi-site church has its challenges, but when you have people with like heart all working together for one cause, it makes life so enjoyable.
Do you remember the game “Musical Chairs” Well; this coming weekend we are playing it with our worship staff. Both Jay Boykin, our worship pastor at the City Place campus, and I will be gone for weekend. Jay is getting married, and I will be out of the country. So, in order to fill the platform vacancies, here is the plan. Drew, our Stuart campus worship pastor will lead at Gardens for me. Greg, our Royal Palm campus worship pastor will lead for Jay at City Place. Russell, our “roving” worship leader will lead for Drew at Stuart. Mia (Greg’s wife) will lead for Greg at Royal Palm.
So, are you thoroughly confused? It is a bit overwhelming. All I know is that the worship will go on and God will receive all the glory!
It is amazing what God is doing through the online campus at Christ Fellowship. Every weekend, there are on average, 7000 people who log on to join one of our weekend services. Our online campus pastor David Helbig is doing an amazing job connecting and shepherding the campus. We now offer our connection event, GIG101, online and people from all over the world (31 countries to be exact) are finding community over the internet.
Last Wednesday night, we held a Night of Worship at our Gardens campus. We decided to stream it live to the online campus, unsure if there would be anyone who would connect. I just got the numbers from Pastor David and was blown away that we had over 1500 people join us online for the Night of Worship. Amazing!
On a side note, this week while in London, we will be having a gathering of some folks who are part of our online campus. We will have a time of worship, Pastor Todd will share and then we will take communion together. I will post some pictures after the event.
